With a eUCP Letter of Credit, the issuing bank can also use a bank in the seller’s country to advise the Credit.  An eUCP Credit, however, contains an email address in addition to a physical address for the presentation of documents as electronic records.   The issuing and negotiating can now be done with the same bank using the Internet instead of physically couriering paper documents around the world.
The most common format for electronic records is the Portable Document File format, or PDF, which can be created on any computer anywhere in the world.
