eProforma Invoice                                        Return to eTFP

BOA + POR + Data = PIV

Proforma Invoice

The Proforma Invoice is an estimate of the Invoice that will be presented to the buyer after the shipment is made.  The seller includes the cost of goods, estimated freight charges, estimated bank fees, estimated cost of money, estimated cost of courier fees and estimated export license fees.  The Proforma Invoice is the bridge between the price of goods and the amount of money the seller requires to get them to the buyer. The Proforma Invoice includes all of the costs to the seller that he intends the buyer to pay for.  The PIV should be an estimate of the final invoice within 5%.  The Proforma Invoice is the amount of money the seller plans on when the buyer has his bank issue a Letter of Credit.

eProforma Invoice Trade Function

The eProforma Invoice (PIV) is the electronic document equivalent of the Proforma Invoice.  It is created using the same information generated by the seller.  It is used for electronic presentation of Proforma Invoice value.
