TAPL + Data = DTC

Documentary Trade Credit

The Documentary Trade Credit is the conditional undertaking by the buyer’s company by which it lends its credit to enable him to finance the purchase of goods.  It authorizes the seller to draw drafts on the company against presentation of stipulated documents in strict compliance with the Trade Credit’s terms and conditions.  The buyer is the applicant and the seller is the beneficiary of the Trade Credit.  The buyer’s company is the reimbursing entity, and the seller’s buyer's company is the advising and negotiating entity.

eDocumentary Trade Credit Trade Function

The eDocumentary Trade Credit (DTC) is the electronic document equivalent of the Documentary Trade Credit.  It is created using the same information generated by the buyer’s company.  It is used for electronic issue of a Documentary Trade Credit.
